What is Botnet DDOS?
A botnet DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack is a type of cyber attack in which multiple compromised computers, referred to as "bots" or "zombies," are used to flood a target network or system with a massive amount of traffic or requests. The goal of such an attack is to overwhelm the target's resources and make it inaccessible to legitimate users.
A botnet is a network of computers that have been infected with malicious software, known as bots or zombies. The attacker can issue commands to the bots, instructing them to carry out various activities, including launching DDoS attacks.
In the case of a botnet DDoS attack, the attacker will distribute the command to the infected computers within the botnet to simultaneously send a high volume of traffic or requests to a specific target, such as a website or an online service. This flood of traffic overwhelms the target's servers, consuming its bandwidth, processing power, or other system resources, ultimately causing it to become slow, unresponsive, or completely unavailable to legitimate users.
